WELCOME TO THE GROVE

We are a friendly, welcoming church with a
heart for people and our neighbourhood.

If you are new to The Grove, we’d love to meet you and help you get connected into the life of the church!

Come and chat with us at one of our Sunday services, or find out more about our various ministries.

9:30am & 5:30pm Services

Both services are similar, though our kids programs
only run at the 9:30am service.
Our Young Adults host the 5:30pm service.

We'd love to see you this Sunday!

Our Location

Our church building is located at
131 Upper Kedron Road, Ferny Grove.

Kids & Youth

We have fun and engaging programs for
Sprouts (0-Kindy), Kids (Prep-Yr6) & Youth (Yr7-Yr10).

  • Do you have a kids program?
On Sunday mornings during the message, we have a fun and engaging kids program for children in Prep up to Year 6. We also have our Sprouts room for little ones up to kindy age. Our Sprouts team will care for your child so you can drop off them off and enjoy the service. For more info, check out our kids and youth pages on our website. All our leaders have Blue Cards and do mandatory child-safe training. Click here to find out more.
  • How long does a service go for?
Our 9:30am service is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and our 5.30pm service is one hour. Our services include music, singing and a relevant message from the bible.
  • Do I have to give any money?
No, never. Like most churches, The Grove is a not for profit and funded by donations, however, these are usually anonymous and completely the choice of the giver. There is never pressure to support the church financially.
  • What do I do during a service?
There is no expectation to do anything. You are free to just sit and observe if you prefer. We might ask you to stand up a few times as we sing or pray, though it will always be clear and even that is up to you. Following the service, people are free to go home straight away, or you can stay for coffee and tea and meet people, and we also have a prayer team that are available to pray with you about a need. Again, these things are completely personal choice.
  • Do you have communion?
Communion (or "the Lord's Supper" or "Eucharist") is when we consume some wine (juice for us) and bread to symbolise and remember the sacrifice of Jesus. We have communion every four weeks and used pre packed communion cups. Anyone who wants to experience God's grace can take communion, but you don't have to. You can just sit there during this time if you want.
  • What should I wear?
You are welcome to wear whatever you like. Most people wear something they would normally wear to the shops or to the park.
  • What do you actually do on a Sunday?
We sing a few songs, listen to a 30-minute talk on life and the Bible, hear about what is happening at church and lead prayers from the front.
  • Do I have to be a Christian to come?
Not at all, anyone is welcome to attend and we have many people each Sunday who wouldn't put themselves in any religious or Christian category. We invite all to come explore and experience church and community.
  • Where are you located?
We have a newly built Church building located at 131 Upper Kedron Road, Ferny Grove. You can't see the building from the street, though we do have a digital sign out the front to welcome you. Once you drive into our driveway, you will see our building. Find out more about our location here.
